History:

When the BCCE members are in their first year they were rejected into hostel team because of Various constraints and some other issues. They faced lot of criticism from the antagonists; some of them don’t even know how to hold a bat . They got vexed with the existing system and started a league in the hostel itself which got tremendous response from the like minded and the protagonists.

Reception:

In Jamuna, the JPL has become one of the most popular events of the year. Around the Insti, reception has varied. It was described as "massive", suggesting that it attracted even non-regular cricket followers and that the popularity of the Enthu was great. Apart from its huge fan base and immense popularity it has inspired many others to start their own leagues not only in cricket but also in other sports. Insti hockey League initiated by Paddu is a classic example of JPL inspired Leagues.

About us

Welcome to the league born out of burning zeal and flaming passion. Born not out of the lust for silverware, but out of pure love towards the game, it stands out among all the others, if any comparable. Wider are its hands in welcoming those infatuated by fierce passion than any other.

Through generations, our great mother india showed the way to welcome those who come here and stay because of their love towards the country, which resulted in a diverse heritage unique to our mother country.
Proud as we are to be called “Indians”, so are we in being a part of this eclectic league which can boast of being the only diverse league in IITM.

Bala’s flight , pinisetty’s satires, enthu’s Enthu, Subbu’s insidious but funny statements, mixed with the haughty batting of yogi, manish, rao, siva and nag, and a bit of seriousness by bharath, buddy, ghost, sravan and comical reactions of bomma and occasional taunts by leela, mama, subbu, adi among each other make it a perfect blend.
